MAJOR DEEJ UNIVERSE

Renei was found abandoned on a beach in Pensacola, Florida.  At  age 13, in her 4th foster home (with the Polanza family), she discovered her water control powers.

Renei learned to use her powers for greed and left her foster family. By 16, she had a long juvenile court record.

Eventually, Renei got mixed up working for a sadistic druglord who kidnapped all her foster families, threatening to kill them if she didn't use her powers for his criminal and evil needs.

Renei freed her foster family members and attempted to escape with them, but failed. As a result nearly all of her foster family members were murdered before Renei's eyes.

In a fit of rage, using her powers, Renei killed the druglord and his thugs. When the police arrived, so did a superhero named 'Alabama'. She told Alabama the whole story of what happened, to which Alabama got her proper legal representation and eventually was able to get all charges cleared for her. The judge, however, didn't want Renei to be 'unsupervised', demanding institutionalization until psychiatrists deemed her safe to be in public. Instead, Alabama came up with a counter offer and proposed she's be under his supervision in Alabama's new superhero team, the 'Southern Stars'.  The judge agreed as did a very happy Renei.

Today, she is a whole different person. She is happy, clean and wanting to 'pay if forward' every day as a hero. She believes that this is her 'second chance' and wanted to honor her foster families and their sacrifice.  She swore to do right by her murdered foster families after that.

Today Renei, now known as 'Rio' is a popular hero representing Florida in the super-team the Southern Stars.  She isn't political and hates all the politicians in the state and region, but instead focuses her efforts in helping 'the little people' and those that need help the most.

Rio is a feisty, in-your-face young woman who loves to party, but also loves to kick bad-guy butt. She is proud to be in the Sentinels and considers all in the team her new family. She routinely, once a year, visits the graves of her foster families. She is dedicated yet flirty, aggressive yet kind, street level mentality while at the same time wanting to know more about the world.
