History
Soundwave is a hero that was brought in by GUARD to join the Aeroguardians. He has yet to reveal who he truly is. When the team needs to go into action, they usually have to 'call' him in, since he doesn't stay or hang out in the HQ. When it's his turn to do Monitor Duty, he'll do so in his costume. No one has seen him with his helmet off, though they have seen him with his gloves off, showing he has dark skin, most likely of African ancestry.

Soundwave, on several occasions, has shown incredible leadership skills and tactical knowledge. He definitely has a background in military training and is a natural in aerial warfare and combat. At times, he's questioned decisions that the Aeroguardians' leader, Aeroguardian, has made. Sometimes Soundwave will back down, but most of the time, he justifies his view of the 'correct' decision as those that Aeroguard requires by regulation. As such, Aeroguardian watches Soundwave like a hawk and doesn't like Soundwave's more aggressive handling of situations.

Although mysterious and soft spoken, Soundwave is a true hero, placing himself in harm's way on at least two occasions for his teammates and several dozen times for innocents.

Equipment
Soundwave wears a modified SAR Suit with an excellent weave of composite fibers and kevlar, for a heavier, full body armor. His gloves, helmet and boots are reinforced with an amazing level of composite materials.
His sonic generators in his gauntlets produce remarkable sonic ranged attacks and are capable of creating sonic force shields around individuals and groups.

His SAR Suit jetpack has been modified to haul 5 times his weight and can fly up to a maximum (unweighted) 900 mph with a modified range of 7000 miles.
