History
Thanks to the German government, a 'push' from his mother, Helena, and a deep desire to avenge and honor his father, Heinrich Freber AKA Teutionic Knight III, Ezekiel "Zeek" Freber has become the new 4th Teutonic Knight.

After witnessing his father, an iconic German superhero, die in combat on live TV, Zeek, already a young highly focused Olympic-level athlete (who was about to apply for the summer Olympics decathlon as the youngest German competitor in the competition's history), decided he wanted to become the next Teutonic Knight and follow in his father's footsteps. The next few years of training were grueling and harsh. While learning college-level academics coupled with military-level intense conditioning and learning how to master a sword and shield, young Zeek became hyper-obsessed in trying to be the next successor to his father's legacy. The rest of the world still hadn't been told who was the man behind his father's mask, even after his father's death, and wasn't expected to be told who the third Teutonic Knight was until 10 years after his death. As such, Zeek was able to prepare for his new desired role without being under the limelight or scrutiny of the media or other distracting situations and expectations related to his father and his family's legacy.

By 2020, at age 17, Zeek finally underwent the government's trials on trying out to be the fourth Teutonic Knight. Although he stumbled and paused a few times in the runs, he fared far better than any other contender for the role of the next Teutonic Knight. By the summer of that same year, Zeek was awarded the official role as the fourth Teutonic Knight. Although there was no proof to support it, rumors are that Zeek's mother had a lot to do with him getting the job with her using her influence and politics on the committee members who made the selection. Although Zeek had heard these rumors, he dismissed them outright, knowing he truly performed better than his other competitors and believed he earned his spot.
Today, Zeek, as the new 4th Teutonic Knight, has made his public debut (and keeping himself with his secret identity as per his mother's request) and has joined the German superhero team his father once led, the Teutonic League. Zeek, being too young and inexperienced, is not in charge of the team, however, it is expected that in the next several years, pending Zeek's progress, that he'll have a shot at leading the team just like his father did.
On a side note, the stress and dedication to achieving this goal has been devastating to Zeek. He is obsessed with trying to 'be' his father, rather than 'be' Zeek and as such, has sacrificed his social life, friends (and boy or girlfriends; he hasn't identified with his sex life yet (yes, still a virgin)) and thinks of nothing else than being a superhero. At times, Zeek has yelled at others (and at himself out loud, in public) for 'not performing to the level they are supposed to perform at', sometimes leaving his fellow teammates (and some civil servants) feeling like they're somehow supposed to 'up their game' to accommodate him (not a good rule of thumb in today's social justice atmosphere). As such, he's getting more critical press and social media responses, calling him a 'sell out' and 'not a true representative of today's Germany', making Zeek more angry with each passing day at the same people he's sworn to aid and protect...

Zeek is a truly dedicated, honest and die-hard superhero in heart. His inexperience makes him constantly strive to do better, but it also makes himself mad that he can't perform to a better standard like his father. He is prone to fits of anger and recrimination, even to his teammates and especially to himself. At times, he's been know to just 'take off' and go on patrol, like his father used to, trying to stop petty crimes in the city, only to be ostracized for using 'excessive force' on 'misunderstood criminals' (social justice and media of the era). This has angered Zeek to the point that he actually assaulted a couple of teens video recording him trying to stop a criminal with the teens slinging accusations at Zeek for acting like such a 'Nazi'; Zeek exploded and nearly choked one of the teens to death...all caught on a cellphone's camera streaming live. The 4th Teutonic Knight's social status is NOT engendering well with his own generation's youth...and is leading Zeek to a what can only be considered a breakdown...unless someone somehow helps him or intervenes before it's too late.

Hans Freber AKA Teutonic Knight II (father, deceased)
History
In late 2000, in the aftermath of the Soltan Star Empire invading Earth for several months and then being chased off the planet, the rest of humanity had to deal with their losses and start to rebuild. Many took stock in what they'd lost, as well as honoring those that fought the valiant fight against the Soltans. None was ever so poignant than the unveiling of the memorial for Teutonic Knight (II) and the revelation of who he was - Hans Freber. Han's son, Heinrich, was overwhelmed with sadness and grief over being told about this, never knowing before the invasion that his father was a superhero, albeit a secret one at that. Nonetheless, Heinrich felt that he should have done more to be like his father; should have done more to help others during the invasion as his father had...he should have done SOMETHING. That is what motivated Heinrich Freber to become the next Teutonic Knight.

For the first two years after the Soltans had been run off of Earth, Heinrich helped Germany as best he could; going to damaged and decimated towns and cities, volunteering his time and labor to helping others rebuild, working in soup kitchens, helping bury the dead, and so on. Although those efforts were indeed benevolent, Heinrich still felt he should do more. At one point, he encountered the water nymph, Rhinemaiden, a member of his father's secretive Teutonic League, and asked her about his father. Although brash towards most, Rhinemaiden uncharacteristically welled up in tears and told hours worth of stories of what Heinrich's father did and the humanity he consistently represented to the team. She noted several occasions where she was willing to kill others and was talked down by Heinrich's father, explaining to her about civility, humanity and their responsibility to be the better person. She told Heinrich that she wished she knew someone like that today and that she'd follow someone like that, a man of conviction and humanity, if she could ever find such a person again. With a long parting hug, the two went their own ways, but not long thereafter, they would indeed meet again.

For the next year, Heinrich got himself in shape. He found his father's hidden stash of his old pre-2000 Teutonic Knight armor and weapons and started practicing with the sword and shield. Realizing the clunkiness of the armor, shield and weapons, and with the quantum leap forward in metallurgy and new sciences (the Soltans had a LOT of advanced tech that we were able to copy), he tasked an 'associate' of his father's who'd helped mend/repair his father's older armor, hoping the associate would help to design a new, lighter armor. With ever spare Euro he had, Heinrich invested in his training and his armor's upgrading. One day, a knock on the door changed everything for this soon-to-be hero.

Upon answering his door one day, a beautiful woman, Helena Hansbeke, asked if he'd accompany her to Berlin for a meeting with a German government official. In the meeting, the government had created a new 'superhero bureau' that was set and designed to help create, fund and facilitate several new superhero groups. Thanks to the Soltans killing off hundreds of superheroes during the invasion, their numbers were few and far between. Couple that with the fact that prospective heroes were demotivated about becoming heroes known how easily they'd gotten killed by the Soltans. The bureau asked Heinrich if he was willing to be one such hero (after divulging that his father's armoring 'associate' tipped off the government folks about him wanting to become a hero). Without hesitation, Heinrich told the government officials yes, but only in such a way that he was to the team leader and that they would operate under the same principles and standards established by his father. With that, Heinrich was authorized funding, support and a full spread of professional trainers to not only become the 3rd Teutonic Knight, but to also form up and lead the new iteration of the "Teutonic League", the supergroup his father once led under the guise of state secrecy. Not only was Heinrich motivated and ready to take on the role, he also realized that was in love with the woman who came to his front door that day - Helena.

Within the next year, Heinrich, disguised as the new Teutonic Knight, started performing patrols in and around Berlin, stopping crime, helping the unfortunate and doing things that a true blue superhero would do, all the while remaining humble yet also a figure of virtue. It also didn't take long before Helena, Heinrich's fiancé, and he were married, with their first son, Ezekiel "Zeek" born months later. As Heinrich was out performing good deeds, he was also testing out new armor prototypes, working out the kinks and tech bugs in the suit, allowing Heinrich to become even more of a superhero day by day. Eventually, the new Teutonic Knight encouraged others who wanted to be superheroes to join him in reforming a new Teutonic League. Dozens of applicants arrived, but in the end, several real heroes and super-powered and/or highly skilled people were selected, one such person was Rhinemaiden herself who told Heinrich that his father would be proud of him and that she would be more than happy to join his team and be led by him. As such, Heinrich, as the new Teutonic Knight, became a household name in Germany. Action figures were made of him, books and novels were written about him and even animated cartoons were done showing off his knightly demeanor and civility. By 2010, Heinrich was considered a national treasure.

In 2015, Heinrich, as the Teutonic Knight, was felled in combat and died while fighting alongside his fellow Teutonic League teammates. Heinrich's son, Zeek, who was an Olympic level athlete himself by this point, was devastated over the loss of his father. The world mourned the loss of the 3rd Teutonic Knight. Since the Knight's identity remained a secret from the world, no one knew who it was under the helmet. Heinrich's wife, Helena, established that in 10 year's time, the government would be allowed to tell who was under the helmet, but not sooner. She also demanded that her son, Zeek, be allowed to at least 'try out' for an opportunity to become the next Teutonic Knight over any other prospective applicants. The government agreed to Helena's terms.

After the memorials were dedicated and the mourning eventually ended, Zeek, who'd doubled up on his training, applied for the opportunity to become the next Teutonic Knight. Following in his father's footsteps, just as Heinrich had with his, Ezekiel was unanimously voted on to become the next Teutonic Knight (IV).

Today, the world in general, at this time, still doesn't know who the 3rd Teutonic Knight was. Massive speculation continues to this day of who it was, but none have guessed correctly thusfar. Heidrich's body rests under a massive memorial lit with an eternal flame less than 500 meters from a memorial to his father and his fellow Teutonic League heroes who died during the Cold War and the Soltan Invasion. Although social values have changed in the past few years, the 3rd Teutonic Knight is still considered to have been as great a hero as was the 2nd Teutonic Knight (his father).

History
At the end of Worlds War II in 1945, the last person to be seen wearing the Teutonic Knight armor was Nazi Captain Friedrick Fausbaum of the SS Corp and Axis Force. just prior to this, Hitler had recalled all of Axis Force to his bunker and charged each Axis Force member, including Fausbaum, with conspiracy against the Fuhrer. Fausbaum was stripped of his armor and executed minutes after the charges were stated. Fausbaum's armor's engineers were also executed. The armor, along with the engineers' blueprints, notes and designs for a new version of the armor, were placed in a hermetically sealed hardened steel crate and eventually taken to a secret underground site in Nuremberg, Germany, where for decades they rested. Only one person left alive knew of the secret underground base in Nuremberg and he was one of the troopers that unloaded the crate back in 1945. This man secreted his way to Switzerland at war's end and took on a fake identity there as a an ex-Austrian mechanic. It would be decades later before this man's secrets were revealed.
In 1968 in Switzerland, a repatriated German engineer who was helping build Switzerland's first new smelting factory (since World War II), arrived at a tavern to have a drink. His name was Hans Freber. As a baby, Hans and his mother were spirited away from Nazi Germany in 1939 and hid in Lithuania with relatives there. Months later, however, Lithuania itself became occupied by Nazi Germany, leaving the small Baltic nation under Nazi control. In a mad attempt to get her baby out of the war, she was able to get a Swedish dock worker, Johanne Sabon, to take her son, Hans, and take care of it in hopes of one day being reunited.
That day never came.
Hans' mother was killed in Lithuania in 1940.
Hans new merchant marine foster father brought him home to Sweden where he and his wife, Ingrid, raised Hans. Luckily, the war never touched them in Sweden and as such, Hans grew up quite nicely. At age 15, Hans was told by his foster parents of his mother's fate (after trying for years to track down Hans' mother). Lucky for Hans, he was allowed to regain his German heritage and citizenship, and as such, when he was old enough, went to college in Germany to become an engineer. He graduated summa cum laude and make his foster parents very happy.
With plenty of jobs in Germany for rebuilding the nation, Hans became a very busy guy, but always spent time learning...and practicing sword fighting, as his foster brother, Corbin Sabon, did, with a sword. Hans' foster brother was a stage actor who did Shakespeare plays and was used primarily as the 'stand-in' guard and/or swordsman in the plays. Corbin and Hans grew up together well, however, Hans skills in engineering made Corbin quite jealous, especially when actors like Corbin got paid little and engineers like Hans got paid a lot. Regardless, Hans work look him all over Europe...and eventually to one particular place in Switzerland where we continue our story from earlier.

While eating and drinking at the Swiss tavern, a drunk old man, dressed like a mechanic, was ranting to a couple of teens about 'being careful around him' and that he was a 'dangerous man' who knew where he'd hidden priceless Nazi treasures, but was unable to cross the border into Germany to get at it due to his 'fake Swiss citizenship'. Initially, Hans didn't think much about what the man said in his rantings...until the old man mentioned the building where the 'secret' treasures were hidden. It was a building that was next on Hans' list of derelict buildings that was to be torn down and rebuilt in Nuremberg.
Intrigued over this claim, Hans went and bought the old man a beer and a bowl of soup. The old man was more than happy to carry on in more detail about the treasure's location and what was in the secret locked chamber. He even pulled out a key from his pocket and told Hans that 'this key is the only key left to open the vault of treasures'. Hans was even more excited of the prospect of unveiling this stolen Nazi treasure, but wasn't about to steal a key from the old man; it wasn't right...well, it wasn't right, until the old man uttered what he was during the war - a Nazi soldier. With that, Hans decided that he needed to be the one to find this treasure before some ex-Nazi did and ensure those stolen treasures got back to where they belonged...and maybe earn a reward in the process.

After a dozen more steins of beer, the old man was passed out in the nearly vacant tavern, allowing Hans to easily take the key from the old man (it was easy...the old man left the key on the table, after all). With that, Hans paid the bill and immediately drove to Nuremberg, Germany...in search of treasure.
After a few calls and getting a hotel room, Hans drove to the place the old man had mentioned; the one due for demolition. Hans, as part of his actual job and duties, was to survey the place, although officially he was over 3 weeks early. Regardless, he surveyed the site anyway. It took him two days to finally find a way to the secret underground location the old man had mentioned. Once there, Hans used the old man's key, and although the lock and vault door were a bit rusty, the lock unlocked and the vault was opened to reveal...TREASURE. LOTS OF TREASURE.
Over 100 million Marks of valuable art, relics, antiques and precious metals were found in the abandoned concrete underground Nazi lab and workshop...including the case the old man talked about - the case with the the Nazi Teutonic Knight's armor and engineering documents. When Hans opened the case, he found the armor, weapons and plans in perfect condition.
Before Hans notified the authorities about the rest of the Nazi stolen treasures, he hauled off the case with the Teutonic Knight's armor, weapons and plans and decided he was going to keep that for himself...just in case he didn't get the reward or recognition was hoping to get. No one else other than Hans knew about the case. Hans himself drove it to his home in Berlin and placed the case in his garage under a cover. He then drove back to Nuremberg to alert the authorities of his 'treasure find'. Amazingly, the German chancellery awarded Hans 5% of the value of the find; a whopping 5 million Marks, all paid by the German government (and the United Nations). Hans was now a millionaire overnight. As such, Hans no longer needed to work...however, he now decided to use part of his new money to restore the Teutonic Knight's armor and maybe sell that to a museum...for a price.
Hans worked for months on the armor, using the revised design documents and plans left in the crate. Using his knowledge of engineering, he started adding improvements to the armor's design, making it more durable, lighter and far more agile to wear. Hans regaled in working the armor into a new, updated version, even so much so that he even painted over the old Nazi paint and gave it a modern look with the colors of their new, modern German flag. No longer desiring to give it to a museum, he now considered this a 'work of art' and a 'personal masterpiece' of modern engineering. As such, he wore the armor routinely and even started practicing with the armor's original sword. Although heavy, the armor helped augment the weight. As a result, Hans' swordsmanship actually got pretty good. He trained for weeks with the old sword, as well as the newly updated shield he'd built, using books to aid him in how to be a better armored swordsman.
One night, Hans got a crazy idea: he wanted to wear the armor out on Halloween and show off in it to others. That particular forthcoming Halloween night, Hans was about to become a new German superhero.
At a high--end Halloween party at a rich neighbor's house, Hans wore his Teutonic Knight armor and was the center of attention. Everyone kept asking who he was under the mask, and Hans told them he'd tell them at the end of the night's festivities. As such, he made a huge impression, with lots of photographs taken of his with the party guests. While everyone was cavorting, a gunshot went off with a man in a Halloween mask breaking away from the crowd, all with a woman yelling calling him an assassin. Hans, near the door, stepped in front of the assassin and in one swing of his arm, knocked the assassin back almost six feet. The assassin took out his gun and shot at Hans' armor, but the bullets bounced off the armor. Hans reached out, grabbed the gun from the assassin and lifted him up, with the assassin's mask and wig dropping to the floor. The assassin, dressed as a man, was actually a woman; a woman who began yelling in Russian. Hans kept her restrained until the police showed up. When asked who Hans was behind the helmet, Hans said 'The NEW Teutonic Knight', to which the crowd cheered him. Hans left the party and walked into the woods, taking the long walk home. Luckily, no one followed him...all except one person - Damon Kaufmann.

Damon Kaufmann was a rich government employee for what was called the West German Ministry of Agriculture, Division 8. In all actuality, Damon Kaufmann was a manager of a secret organization of West German superheroes; superheroes that were considered 'illegal' in West (and East) Germany. These superheroes he managed performed classified missions for the West German government that no other 'legal' organization could. There heroes were obviously considered classified and covert and as such, were kept hidden in their government HQ basement, only coming out in public in disguise or under classified aliases. For years, Kaufmann ran this group, and now, during one Halloween night in 1969, he was about to recruit one more.

Hans arrived home that Halloween night, followed shortly by a knock on his door. Damon Kaufmann introduced himself, and hours later, after a long introduction and discussion about Division 8, Hans agreed to 'see what this is all about' before he committed to it. Days later, Hans and Damon met at Division 8 where Hans was introduced to what was unofficially called "The Teutonic League". Being the "Teutonic Knight", they all agreed that the fit was perfect and that using the upgraded and converted WWII armor would be a good vehicle to usher in a new German symbol that, one day, might better signify a bridge between German history and real modern day heroes rather than a reintroduction of a Nazi propaganda machine, which was considered illegal in modern Germany. Nonetheless, Hans was happy to join Division 8 as thenew Teutonic Knight and quickly became one of the team's most iconic fighters.
For the next few decades, Hans worked with Division 8 and Damon at the 'Teutonic Knight (II)' performing hundreds of classified and secretive missions for West Germany, sometimes working with other international organizations such as the CIA, MI-6 and/or Interpol, but all on a 'must know' classified level, swearing others they'd encountered to secrecy. During the time, he'd had his armor and weapons upgraded several times, allowing for dozens of new technical abilities with his armor. At times, he became team leader, but for the most part, he disliked leading his team on covert missions, especially after losing a few men and women on missions he was in charge of. Couple that with being married, having children and trying to raise them while keeping a secret identity made for an even more stressful life than a normal man would desire. Regardless, he kept on with being the Teutonic Knight in the hope of continuing to do 'the right thing' and help his nation move forward, covering the sins of the armor's past...and trying to make his foster parents proud of the man he'd become, even though they knew nothing of his secret in being the new Teutonic Knight. Even though there any hundreds of exquisite stories about his and his team's experiences during the Cold War, we'll leave FUTURE storytelling to fill in the gaps where needed there!
During the Cold War, random reports and sightings led to media speculation that there were German superheroes about, working in the shadows, however nothing tied Hans, the Teutonic Knight or these other West German 'heroes' to the German government or Division 8. Eventually, the day arrived when West and East Germany's walls came down and the reunification of Germany became a new reality.

By 1990, Division 8, just like the East German's STASI police, were deemed untenable in light of German unification. As such, Division 8 was shutdown and with it, a well needed return to normal life for Hans, who was now 52 years old, but felt 65 thanks to the stressful secretive hero life he'd led. With that, Hans went back to engineering school and earned his professorship in Architectural Engineering and Metallurgic Processing, getting a job with the new reunified German government as a building design manager for the devastated and dilapidated ex-East German side of the nation; an area that was over 40 years behind the rest of the world's technology and design. Hans worked on literally rebuilding his newly reunified German nation but still was not allowed to tell anyone of his secret involvement with Division 8 or that he was the Teutonic Knight. Because of all the government modification the government had done to Hans' Teutonic Knight armor, it became government property and as such was vaulted in the old Division 8's sub-basement that had been locked up since 1990. Hans was happy to not have to wear it again and continued to enjoy a life with his family...that is, until the the Soltan Star Empire decided to invade Earth in January 2000.

The Soltan Invasion of 2000 was devastating to Germany. It's major cities were immediately occupied by tens of thousands of Soltan troops. The meager NATO-provided German military was decimated in mere minutes into the invasion and thanks to the German law still in effect of 'no superheroes or super-powered beings', there was nothing prepared or organized to defend against anything of this caliber in Germany...except those that were once part of Division 8. Damon Kaufmann, long since retired, recalled any Division 8 hero or worker back to service (or that was still alive) to go to an old off-the-books safehouse located deep in the Black Forest. From there, Hans and the remaining ex-Division 8 personnel and heroes mounted a resistance against the Soltans, attacking their forces, attempting to take back Germany. Hans, reunited with his Teutonic Knight armor (the ex-Division 8 personnel brought it back with them and upgraded the armor significantly to take on the Soltans) and fought hard. Hans son, Heinrich Freber, also fought with him especially when Hans' wife, Heinrich's mother, Agnes, died at the hands of the Soltans. Hans as the Teutonic Knight fought long and hard over the next few months against the Soltans, however, before the invasion ended, Hans died protecting his son from a Soltan trooper.

After the Soltans were driven off of Earth, the world was told of the sacrifices of Division 8 and the heroes that were unofficially called the "Teutonic League". Hans identity as the Teutonic Knight was made public and a massive memorial was made in honor of his service to Germany. During the ceremony, Hans' foster parents were in attendance as was Hans' only remaining child, Heinrich. The Teutonic Knight armor that Hans wore is, today, in a special museum dedicated to Division 8 in Berlin, Germany. The Teutonic Knight's legacy, however, would live on for another generation.

World War II
Info
The Teutonic Knight (I)'s armor, during World War II, was worn by three separate Nazi military men. Although the armor remained unchanged (other than standard repairs), with several copies of the armor available as needed (additional copies were made, towards war's end, there were hardly any resources left to make any new copies other than the final one used by Teutonic Knight I-C.

History
In 1937, German/Austrian engineer Professor Ferdinand Porsche was tasked with devising a powerful combat armor for use in the field, yet following the precept of fashion, weapons and armoring relevant to the Teutonic Knights of centuries past. The armor was desired by Adolph Hitler to be created so as to promote old Teutonic pride and power. Professor Porsche, along with dozens of engineers, created the armor in less than 2 years and tested it for the first time during the invasion of Poland in 1939. The armor's bearer, initially, was one of Porsche's engineers.
After the Poland field test, a highly decorated Nazi soldier, Lieutenant Heinrich Zummewalt, was awarded the armor. He quickly took to the armor in a zealous and domineering manner, leading troops, leading charges and saving dozens of his own Nazi troops when they'd gotten into trouble in combat. When France was invaded, Zummewalt as the Teutonic Knight (I-A), led the charge around the Maginot Line, easily bypassing France's national border defenses and as part of a new team called Axis Force, led by a highly decorated SS Colonel codenamed Baron Berlin, he (Zummewalt) was one of the few that led the procession of Nazi soldiers into Paris and unto the notable Arch de Triomphe. During his time as the Teutonic Knight, he encountered a lot of action against the Allies, including the Allied superhero group, the Allied Fighters. For the most part, Zummewalt was considered the be the best example of German exceptionalism, with the SS corps using his likeness and Teutonic Knight costumed imagery in many of their propaganda posters. Months after the fall of France, Zummewalt was killed by a French Resistance sniper in Paris, France.

A month after Lieutenant Zummewalt's death, another Nazi soldier was awarded the armor - Lieutenant Werner Heinz. Heinz was more fanatical that Zummewalt and, in some cases, a bit more psychotic. The power and authority he gained as the new Teutonic Knight basically went to his head, believing that he was a new 20th century icon of Teutonic power and pride. As such, he relished his superiority over those not in charge of him and was prone to killing others (even his own troops) for daring to provoke, attack or disparage him. Once again, he, like Zummewalt, he engaged in many battles and conflicts with his Axis Force allies, encountering the Allied Fighters dozens of times in combat. Heinz wore the armor until the day he was killed in 1944 by one of the members of the Allied Fighters.

The last Nazi trooper to wear the armor during World War II was Captain Friedrick Fausbaum, who was hand-picked by the Axis Force's leader, Baron Berlin. Captain Fausbaum was highly anti-Semitic, a bully and a warrior who fought hard and gave little ground. He was also noted to follow orders to perfection and had no respect for anyone outside of his Aryan heritage. As the new Teutonic Knight, Fausbaum's victories were many, and was known to have killed at least one Allied Fighter superhero in 1945.
Baron Berlin, in one of his more dangerous beliefs, believed that Hitler was no longer right to lead Nazi Germany. As such, he set into motion several plans to undo Hitler and position himself as the best logical choice to be the next Fuhrer. In so doing, Baron Berlin had his Axis Force team members go about stockpiling ammunition, weapons and the 'relocating' stolen treasures of Europe to secretive locations of his own choosing that could/may be needed to potentially run a deadly coupe against Hitler should Baron Berlin not be able to do so in a bloodless coupe attempt. As such, tens of thousands of nearly priceless artifacts, gold and art were taken and hidden away in Baron Berlin's hand selected vaults, mines and bunkers that only a handful of the Axis Force team members knew about, of which Fausbaum was one such member (Fausbaum actually led the 'relocation' effort of the stolen art, gold and artifacts).
One day, Hitler recalled the entirety of Axis Force personnel to one of his underground Berlin bunkers to have Axis Force 'correct the wrongs' that Hitler insinuated were being done against him. With no idea of what Hitler's plan was (and noting that Hitler was pretty much mentally unbalanced by this time), Baron Berlin and all of his Axis Force team arrived to appease Hitler. In a surprising turn of events, Hitler stated he had proof of Baron Berlin's subversion and charged Baron Berlin and all of Axis Force with treason and theft against the Fuhrer. Fausbaum, as Teutonic Knight, was quickly captured, stripped of his armor and weapons and, minutes later, was executed. The Porsche engineers assigned to Fausbaum were also present, along with new blueprints and notes for a new upgraded Teutonic Knight armored suit. As per Hitler's orders, all of the engineers were also executed on the spot.
Fausbaum's armor and weapons, along with the Porsche team's blueprints and design notes were all tossed into a hermetically sealed hardened steel case that was snuck out of Berlin to a be used at a remote secret underground facility in Allied-controlled Nuremberg, Germany. Unfortunate for all, the Nazi men who transported the Teutonic Knight case and hid it were all killed by Allied troops after they were found in a German brothel. No one told any one else about the case's location...except for one of the dead engineers who bragged to one of the brothel's prostitutes about their adventurous journey from Berlin. That information would one day lead someone to find the Teutonic Knight's case (see Teutonic Knight II).
